Former Nickelodeon Star Tylor Chase Sleeping In A Motel Thanks To Former Costar: ‘I Believe in You’

Former Nickelodeon child star Tylor Chase has checked into a motel room ahead of Christmas thanks to one of his former costars.

The former child star, who has been living on the streets, shared an emotional reunion with Daniel Curtis Lee, his one-time fellow actor on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, according to TMZ.

Lee drove about 50 miles from Los Angeles to Riverside, California to meet up, the outlet reported, adding that the pair ate pizza before Lee, 34, helped Chase, 36, settle into a motel so he could stay dry ahead of a major Southern California rainstorm this week.

“I believe in you and we’re gonna win, bro,” Lee told Chase as they shared a hug in the video, which was published on Tuesday, December 23. “All we gotta do is stay with it and keep working, dude. Every day.”

In a TikTok video posted that same day, Lee said Chase also got a chance to borrow a phone to speak with family and friends, including his father.

“Love is all we can we can really give people some time, and I’m happy that he was able to have that connection with his pops,” Lee said, asking fans for suggestions on how else to help. “He seemed super receptive to conversation…. I really believe we can get Tylor back on his feet.”

“We want to do this the right way—safe, structured, and supportive,” Lee added in his caption.

Chase starred as Martin Qwerly in Ned’s Declassified from 2004 to 2007 in 33 episodes alongside Lee’s Simon “Cookie” Nelson-Cook, but after the show finished, he struggled to keep his acting career afloat.

A video in which he was revealed to be unhoused went viral and since then, costars and fans have reached out to try to help him turn his life around amid reported mental health issues.

As the National Enquirer previously reported, a GoFundMe was set up, but a woman claiming to be his mother allegedly asked for the page to be deactivated, noting that “money would not benefit him” because he needs “medical attention,” which he’s refused.

However Riverside Police Department public information officer Ryan Railsback told TMZ on Monday, December 22, that the 36-year-old has previously declined help like temporary shelter.
