Tylor Chase, best known for playing Martin Qwerly in the Nickelodeon seriesNed’s Declassified School Survival Guide, apparently wants to handle things on his own.
Though the National Enquirer previously reported that he is said to be “living on the streets,” Riverside Police Department public information officer Ryan Railsback told TMZ on Monday, December 22, that the 36-year-old doesn’t want help.
Railsback told the outlet that the police department has dealt with the former child star on more than one occasion, adding that they’ve given him “countless offers” for necessities like temporary shelter — but Chase has declined.

TMZ also noted that Chase has always been cooperative and cordial during his interactions with police and that they have informed him of the viral videos circulating online stating that he is unhoused.
The update comes after TMZ reported that Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss offered Chase his help.
Earlier on Monday, a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) featuring Chase began to go viral and showed a screenshot of a GoFundMe that said he’s “living on the streets.”

While the GoFundMe has been taken down, a TikTok user with the handle @lethallalli shared more insight into Chase’s current situation.
In September, the social media user posted a photo of the actor sitting on the street via TikTok and wrote, “Just made a Gofundme for him!”
Days later, @lethallalli shared a screengrab of a text exchange allegedly between herself and Chase’s mother, in which the actor’s mother requested that the GoFundMe be deactivated.

“Yes, Tylor needs medical attention not money,” a message allegedly sent by Chase’s mother reads. “But he refuses it. I appreciate your effort. But money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can’t manage money or his meds by himself.”
In a September 24 podcast episode of Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide, Chase’s former costars discussed the situation and thought about ways they could possibly help.
“I fully believe he can recover,” said actor Daniel Curtis Lee, “but it’s also wishful thinking in me. And I’ve got to go and see him.”
