Former Nickelodeon Star Tylor Chase Says ‘Life Always Gets Better’ Amid Homelessness Claims

After footage of former Nickelodeon actor Tylor Chase sparked widespread concern online, new details are now shedding light on what may be happening behind the scenes.

Chase, 36, spoke with the Daily Mail in a new interview on Monday, December 22, as the outlet caught up with the Ned’s Declassified star as he picked up cigarette butts off the street.

“It’s not too shabby. Life always gets better, keep your head up,” Chase told the publication.

Chase was spotted behind a convenience store in Riverside, California, where he appeared to be searching through the ground near a busy roadway. The outlet described him as wearing worn and mismatched clothing, including a weathered jacket and a Raiders shirt, along with pants decorated with a Nickelodeon themed patch.

At one point, Chase was holding a handful of holiday cards and appeared excited to learn Christmas was just days away.

“They’re very beautiful. I just like to cherish the idea of them,” he told the Daily Mail. “I get excited, festive, merry spirit. It seems like it is time to celebrate pretty soon.”

While Chase appeared unable to answer some questions about his recent past, the Daily Mail noted that he became animated when he realized he had been recognized as a former television star.

“You heard about Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide? We started in 2004 and went to the third season in 2007,” he said. “After that we had a wrap party, the festivities, like a happy holiday.”

Chase starred as Martin Qwerly in the series from 2004 to 2007, but after the show went off the air, he struggled to keep his acting career afloat. Instead, he moved to Georgia to live with his father. However, his time there didn’t last and he told the Daily Mail that he moved to Riverside, California, “about 7 to 9 years ago” where his mom, Paula Moisio, works as a realtor.

As the National Enquirer previously reported, a TikTok creator with the username @lethallalli created a GoFundMe for Chase in September. But it wasn’t long before the creator shared a screenshot of a text conversation she had with Chase’s mom asking for the fundraiser to be shut down.

“Yes, Tylor needs medical attention not money,” a message allegedly sent by Chase’s mother reads. “But he refuses it. I appreciate your effort. But money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can’t manage money or his meds by himself.”

Lethallalli agreed to stop collecting donations, but she also asked how she could get the money to Chase’s mom.

The person believed to be Chase’s mother reiterated her concerns in a followup message, writing, “I could put it in an account for him. But like I said, he’s not good at managing money and it could possibly hurt him. I appreciate you trying to help him, he is a good sweet kid. But he does need medical help.”
