Joe Rogan may be on network television in the future.
According to the Wednesday, February 18, edition of Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, Bari Weiss — the newly appointed CBS News editor-in-chief — is considering putting the famed podcaster, 58, on the network following Anderson Cooper’s departure from 60 Minutes.
“Bari respects disruptors,” one source explained. “Joe built a global platform without legacy media. That matters to her.”
“They want oxygen in the room,” a second source told Shuter. “Not someone preaching to the choir. They’re looking for reach.”

Another source pointed out that Rogan would not be taking the job for financial reasons as “he makes more from podcasting than CBS could realistically offer.”
“This wouldn’t be about money,” the source added. “It would be about finally being accepted by the people who hate him.”
A fourth source revealed that “if he believed he could help reshape CBS and shift the culture, that might be compelling.”
As the National Enquirer previously reported, Cooper, 58, confirmed to Entertainment Weekly on Monday, February 16, that he was leaving 60 Minutes, explaining, “I have little kids now, and I want to spend as much time with them as possible, while they still want to spend time with me.”

However, an insider told Shuter on Tuesday, February 17, the political correspondent “didn’t quit” rather, “he was pushed” out, per the Naughty But Nice substack.
“They’re looking for edge. For dominance. For a different kind of presence,” another insider shared. “Anderson is thoughtful and precise. That suddenly became a liability.”
Additionally, CBS unveiled multiple new contributors on Tuesday, January 27, the same day Weiss, 41, held a town hall for employees and laid out her vision for the network, declaring, “I am here to make CBS News fit for purpose in the 21st century.”
