Trump, 80, shared a clip to Truth Social on Monday, July 6, of a recent graduation from Minnesota’s Gateway Stem Academy in June. The video showed a group of young children wearing blue caps and gowns. Many of the young girls were seen wearing white hijabs tucked under their caps, a religious symbol of modesty.
While the president did not elaborate in his post, the video was originally shared via X by a profile named End Wokeness.
“Public school in St. Paul, Minnesota. Every girl is in a hijab … in kindergarten,” the right-leaning organization wrote.
Nancy Mace, a MAGA aligned representative from South Carolina, responded, “If you are in a public school in America, you should be speaking english.”
The Apprentice alum and his allies have engaged in a months-long attack on Muslim Americans, often calling out Minnesota representative Ilhan Omar, a Somali immigrant.

“I don’t want them in our country,” he said in a December 2025 speech, referring to Somali immigrants in Minnesota. “I’ll be honest with you … Somebody will say, ‘Oh, that’s not politically correct.’ I don’t care. I don’t want them in our country.”
“Their country is no good for a reason,” Trump continued. “Their country stinks, and we don’t want them in our country,” referring to the community as “garbage.”
