A video showing New Jersey police confronting a group of women carrying Trump flags on a Seaside Heights beach is going viral ahead of the Fourth of July, and it’s reigniting claims that the officers targeted the group because of their political views.
In the video that was originally recorded in August 2025, a blonde woman and a cop get into a heated exchange after she accuses him of “only” wanting to “come after Trump people,” as opposed to “drug dealers.”
The woman claimed she received permission to take a picture with flags supporting PresidentDonald Trump on the beach.
“We’re being prosecuted because we have Trump flags on the beach,” she said while filming.

However, while she and another unseen woman alleged that they were targeted for being Trump supporters, one of the cops responded, “I support Trump. Don’t worry.”
Another officer points out that a man standing nearby decked out in Trump gear had not been stopped because he was wearing a bracelet indicating he paid the admission fee to access the beach.
“Look, he has a bracelet. He’s not getting bothered,” the cop explained.

The woman didn’t seem to care and shot back, “It doesn’t matter! I just walked here right from there to take a [expletive] picture.”
According to the official Seaside Heights website, “Seaside Heights charges a beach fee to help defray expenses related to providing visitors one of the cleanest and safest public beaches on the East Coast.”
