Sydney Sweeney’s Family ‘Freaks Out’ Over Her Plan to Marry Scooter Braun ‘Sooner Rather Than Later’

Sydney Sweeney intends to tie the knot with Scooter Braun, “sooner rather than later,” reveals a source — but not everyone’s feeling euphoria over the impending union.

“It freaks out her family,” the source admits to the National Enquirer. “Sydney is going to skip the engagement this time around and jump straight to the marriage because she sees Scooter as a keeper.”

As of March 2025, the blonde beauty, 28, was still betrothed to her partner of seven years, businessman Jonathan Davino.

By August, however, she’d rebounded with Braun following a chance encounter during Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez‘s wedding festivities in Italy — a story which Star was the first to break.

The two quickly mixed business and pleasure, per an earlier Enquirer report.

“He has been incredibly supportive of her career,” notes the source. “Scooter showed that he could help make Sydney’s dreams a reality, and that was huge to her.”

Now, the 45-year-old music exec — who was previously wed to Yael Cohen from 2014 to 2022 — “feels ready to devote the rest of his life to Sydney,” shares the source. “Neither of them have doubts or cold feet.”

Just don’t expect an elaborate ceremony à la some of their Hollywood peers’ nuptials, says the source.

Thanks to Sweeney’s packed work schedule, “there’s zero time to plan a wedding,” the source explains. “But there is definitely time to elope. They could end up going to Las Vegas to do it!”
