Tylor Chase Reportedly Going to Rehab After Homeless Ex Child Star Placed on 72-Hour Hold

Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide alum Tylor Chase, who has made headlines in recent days for living on the streets of California and refusing assistance, is reportedly in the process of going to rehab.

Riverside’s Shipwreck Barbershop owner Jacob Harris told TMZ on Friday, December 26, that he spoke with the 36-year-old for three hours on Christmas Day, adding: “I finally found a crisis center that would come out and do an on-site evaluation.”

Jacob said that crisis center workers decided Chase needed to be taken to a local hospital to receive “medical attention.”

According to TMZ, Chase is currently on a 72-hour hold and will be taken to a rehab facility.

On Christmas Day, former Nickelodeon actor Daniel Curtis Lee — who helped Chase get checked into a motel ahead of the holiday — shared a heartbreaking TikTok update claiming that the troubled actor allegedly trashed the place and left.

“We got him into the hotel, and just that night, I receive a call from management,” Lee, 34, told followers. “They’re upset. The door is left open. Why is there a microwave in the tub? The refrigerator is turned… I just feel so devastated. I am at a loss, and his family told me that they tried the hotel thing before, and it didn’t work.”

Lee then asked followers what could be done to help Chase, who reportedly told reporters he is taking Prozac, Adderall, Sudafed, Wellbutrin and Zoloft, which were prescribed by a psychiatrist.

“Help should be provided for these people facing mental health issues, drug abuse issues,” said Lee. “Taxpayers vote on this stuff all the time. 5150 [involuntary psychiatric holds] exists. A third party should be able to get someone into treatment.”

Lee asked followers if anyone experienced a similar situation and suggested Chase be placed under a 5150 hold, which is done to a person with a mental health challenge to be evaluated while they are involuntarily detained.

“We have to do something before it’s too late for Tylor,” said Lee.

Chase’s father recently told the Daily Mail that the former child actor has been dealing with addiction since he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in 2015.

However, Chase has denied having any form of mental illness.
