Savannah Guthrie is speaking out again as the search for her missing 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, continues.
In an emotional video message to her 1.9 million Instagram followers, the Today anchor, 54, said she is remaining optimistic amid the Guthrie family tragedy.
“It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope, and we still believe,” she said. “And I wanted to say to whoever has her, or knows where she is, that it’s never too late.”
“And you’re not lost or alone,” Savannah continued. “And it is never too late to do the right thing. And we are here, and we believe. We believe in the essential goodness of every human being, and it’s never too late.”
As the search for Nancy has now entered the third week, authorities do not appear to have a person of interest, and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told the Daily Mail, “The motivation for it is where we get stuck, right?”

“Is it for money? I mean, we had the one demand where they asked for money,” he pointed out. “But is it really for money, or is it for revenge for something?”
Still, new information has come to light, including that a DNA sample has been obtained from a glove found near Nancy’s Arizona home that appears to match the pair worn by the individual in previously released camera footage.
According to the FBI, Nancy “is considered to be a vulnerable adult who has difficulty walking, has a pacemaker, and needs daily medication for a heart condition.”
She was reported missing on February 1 by family members and is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds; she has brown hair and blue eyes.

Law enforcement officials released video footage that shows an “armed individual” appearing to tamper with the camera at Nancy’s front door the morning of her disappearance, but they still don’t have a suspect.
They have upped their reward to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy “and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”
