President Donald Trump‘s “Great American State Fair” isn’t as united as he probably hoped it would be.
According to reports, officials in Oregon, North Carolina and Washington have revealed that they declined to participate in the giant fair, scheduled to run from June 25 through early July on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Luke Harkin, a spokesperson for Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, said in a statement that Oregon has backed out “due to both the cost of participating in the Fair and growing concerns that the event in Washington D.C. is shaping up to be a more partisan affair than originally presented,” CNN reported.

The Trump administration organized the event and billed it as a way to showcase all 50 states of America. According to CNN, Pennsylvania is also trying to make a decision about its participation.
A Freedom250 spokesperson said that even if states back out, all 50 states and territories will be represented.
“What we can say is that every state’s story will be told in a way that’s authentic to its people, history, and culture,” the spokesperson continued, per CNN, adding, “Whether represented by a governor’s office, a tourism board, or a beloved state company or organization, every community will be celebrated.”
Freedom250 is the Trump-backed nonprofit organizing the fair and other events tied to America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

The event has already faced setbacks, with a planned concert being canceled after performers backed out, the National Enquirer previously reported. Trump has said the concert will be replaced with a rally.
“In celebration of our Country’s 250 Year History, we will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER!” Trump wrote on Truth Social last week. “We don’t want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep, we’ve told them all to stay home. All we want is you, me, a few speakers, and the Greatest Music ever played, the same Music you have listened to for years!”
