After a Great American State Fair event on the National Mall organized by Freedom 250 had multiple artists back out, President Donald Trump announced that the concert was scrapped altogether.

The 79-year-old president announced in a post shared Thursday, June 4, to his Truth Social that a rally, headlined by none other than himself, would take its place.

“It will be special at every level — A Rally to end all Rallies!” the Apprentice alum wrote, adding that it will take place Wednesday, June 24, at 7 p.m. in Washington, D.C., which he added is “now totally beautified, and one of the Safest Cities anywhere in the World.”

“In celebration of our Country’s 250 Year History, we will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER!” he wrote. “We don’t want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep, we’ve told them all to stay home. All we want is you, me, a few speakers, and the Greatest Music ever played, the same Music you have listened to for years!”

As National Enquirer previously reported, multiple singers — including Martina McBride, The Commodores and Poison’s Bret Michaels, among others — said that they would not be performing in the event.

Some said the event was misleading. Freedom 250 has faced backlash over its ties to Trump in the past.

Trump’s rally will now feature “God Bless the U.S.A.” singer Lee Greenwood, who will introduce the president with his signature song, as well as Christopher Macchio, who will sing “Nessun Dorma,” “Hallelujah,” “Ave Maria,” “God Bless America.”

According to Trump, “Not since the legendary Luciano Pavarotti has there been such a voice!”

“The Rally will also be featuring the wonderful U.S. Army Band ‘Pershing’s Own’ and Armed Forces Choir, and ‘The President’s Own’ Unites [sic] States Marine Band, with the Joint Armed Forces Chorus, all of your favorite Hits, PLUS a fine and highly dignified gentleman known as, President DONALD J. TRUMP!” Trump concluded.

The rally and other upcoming events will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
