Hours after his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, were stabbed to death, Nick Reiner’s hotel room showed signs of the horrific crime, TMZ reported on Tuesday, December 16.
The 32-year-old checked into a Santa Monica hotel early on the morning of December 14 — the day his parents died — and did not formally check out, prompting staff to later enter the room, the outlet reported.
Sources claimed to TMZ that hotel employees discovered blood in multiple areas of the room, including on the bed and a shower “full of blood.”

The condition of the room raised immediate concern and became part of the ongoing investigation, the outlet reported, adding that LAPD Robbery Homicide detectives later visited the hotel to collect evidence and interview employees.
Authorities have not publicly commented on the forensic findings.
Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were reportedly discovered dead inside their home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles by their daughter, Romy Reiner, 28.

TMZ reported that she told authorities that a family member “should be a suspect” and that they were “dangerous.”
