Jimmy Kimmel has his exit strategy from the United States.
On Thursday, August 7, the 57-year-old late-night host appeared on The Sarah Silverman Podcast, and revealed that he has European citizenship while discussing Donald Trump‘s presidency.
“A lot of people I know are thinking about where they can get citizenship,” Sarah Silverman, 54, remarked.
“I do have… I did get Italian citizenship. I do have that,” the comedian shared.
“And what’s going on is as bad as you thought it was going to be; it’s so much worse. It’s just unbelievable,” Kimmel continued. “I feel like it’s probably even worse than he [Trump] would like it to be.”

After CBS announced last month that The Late Show With Stephen Colbert would end in May 2026, Trump, 79, took to Truth Social to celebrate — and declare that Jimmy Kimmel Live! should also be cancelled.
“I absolutely love that Colbert’ got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings,” Trump wrote on the social media platform in July. “I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!”
“Fallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They’re next. They’re going to be going. I hear they’re going to be going,” Trump declared per Fox News. “I don’t know, but I would imagine because they’d get — you know, Colbert has better ratings than Kimmel or Fallon.”
