Keith Urban is pushing for a meeting with ex-wife Nicole Kidman in the hopes of making peace, an insider tells the National Enquirer.
“Even though this split was Keith’s decision, he hates how distant they’ve become,” the insider reveals. “They’ve pretty much ghosted each other since the divorce was finalized, and that’s not something he ever wanted.”
The country singer, 58, “would love the chance to clear the air and get to a place where they can at least be more cordial,” the insider adds. “So far, she’s been a brick wall but he’s hoping she might soften towards him now that she’s found happiness with someone new.”
Earlier this month, a source told Deuxmoi that the Big Little Lies star, 59, has been quietly dating a “high profile entertainment executive” whose identity has not yet been revealed.

“Of course this has touched a nerve for Keith,” admits the insider. “There’s no denying it’s a lot to take in, but he’s making a conscious effort not to be bitter because he knows that won’t help anyone.”
In addition to wanting to mend fences with Kidman, the “Fighter” singer is also hoping to mend his broken relationship with daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 15, the insider notes.
In the Wednesday, March 18 edition of Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack, an insider revealed that the girls have “essentially cut off contact” with Urban in the wake of the divorce.
“He knows Nicole holds a lot of influence,” the Enquirer‘s insider explains, which is why, “he’s desperate to repair things with her.”
