Kash Patel’s Girlfriend Claps Back at Critics Amid Performance for President Trump’s Freedom 250 Event

Alexis Wilkins — the girlfriend of FBI Director Kash Patel — announced she will be performing during Freedom 250’s The Great American State Fair after a series of musicians withdrew from the event backed by President Donald Trump.

“What a great honor to be a part of the 250th birthday of this great nation!” Wilkins, 27, announced via X on Tuesday, June 23.

As National Enquirer previously reported, a number of scheduled artists, including Martina McBride and Bret Michaels, previously backed out of performing due to the link to Trump, 80. The event is hosted by Freedom 250, a group established by the Trump administration to organize events, per WBALTV.

After social media users mocked Wilkins as “the fifth choice,” with many claiming she only landed the gig because of her connection to Patel, the singer clapped back.

“I have been a country music artist for years now. I have had a successful career in both music and commentary/strategy. People don’t get to negate that for clicks or headlines,” she tweeted on Tuesday.

“I was invited to sing this anthem on my own accord, as I have been many other places throughout my career,” Wilkins continued. “I’m no longer accepting false narratives and total sham accusations that diminish my hard work and earned accomplishments, so please expect this kind of response to continue.”

The Great American State Fair‘s kick off event is set for Wednesday, June 24 at the National Mall in Washington, DC, with more events to follow.
