A magician has gone missing in Queensland, Australia in strange circumstances, with cops now asking for military assistance to help track him down.
Daniel Hidden, 26, was last seen in the early hours of June 14, leaving his home at around 3 a.m. According to a statement shared by the Queensland Police, “Daniel’s family hold serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.”
His phone was reportedly switched off around 6 a.m. the morning of his disappearance.
As per a report in The U.S. Sun, concerns escalated when authorities located Hidden’s silver Hyundai Santa Fe and attached Galaxy caravan abandoned near Currumbin Creek Road, deep in remote bushland miles from his home.
Acting Inspector Brett Jackson has now confirmed the Australian Defence Force has now been called in because of the scale and geography of the remote search area.
“Because of the terrain and the large area that needs to be traversed, we have been utilising aerial assets in Queensland including police, Polair and also drones,” the outlet reported Brett saying.

Military resources are joining police helicopters, drones and ground crews in the desperate hunt to find the man.
Described as having long black hair, a dark beard, and brown eyes, Hidden was last seen wearing a maroon top and black cargo pants.
His brother Ilya Jamshidi told Australia’s 7News that Hidden was an experienced hiker but it was unusual for him to go off without his phone. He said there had been “lots of crying” at the family home in recent days and added, “My personal life is put aside.”
Adding an unusual detail, Hidden’s personal website declares the phrase: “Transformation requires disappearance.”
Police say they are aware of it, but insist there is currently no evidence linking it to his disappearance. At this stage, authorities continue to treat the case as a missing person investigation.
