Former Child Star Tylor Chase Released From 72-Hour Hold, Allegedly Back on the Streets

After it was reported that troubled former child star Tylor Chase was placed on an involuntary hold and would be taken into rehab, he is allegedly back on the streets of California.

The Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide alum, who has made headlines in recent days for refusing assistance on multiple occasions in Riverside, was evaluated by a health crisis team and placed on a 72-hour hold on or around Christmas Day.

TMZ reported on Monday, December 29, that Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss — who has been advocating for Chase’s wellbeing and trying to get him help — said that the 36-year-old was inexplicably released from the involuntary hold.

“They were supposed to hold him and then transport him to a detox facility that we had arranged,” Weiss told the outlet. “Instead, they let him out without contacting any of us.”

According to Weiss, 47, Chase was found back on the street, and the crisis team was called again. Weiss said he was told Chase was “smoking meth during [a second] evaluation with no shoes or jacket in the freezing cold.”

Weiss, who works with the Eleven 11 Recovery treatment center in San Clemente, said that he is still trying to get Chase the help that he needs but that the former Nickelodeon star must agree to going to rehab.

On Christmas Day, former costar Daniel Curtis Lee — who helped Chase get checked into a motel ahead of the holiday — shared a heartbreaking TikTok update claiming that the troubled actor allegedly trashed the place and left.

“We got him into the hotel, and just that night, I receive a call from management,” Lee, 34, told his followers. “They’re upset. The door is left open. Why is there a microwave in the tub? The refrigerator is turned… I just feel so devastated. I am at a loss, and his family told me that they tried the hotel thing before, and it didn’t work.”

Lee then asked followers what could be done to help Chase, who reportedly told reporters he is taking Prozac, Adderall, Sudafed, Wellbutrin and Zoloft, which were prescribed by a psychiatrist.

Chase’s father recently told the Daily Mail that the former child actor has been dealing with addiction since he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in 2015.

However, Chase has denied having any form of mental illness.
