There’s trouble in paradise for Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman, alleges a source.
“With their showbiz backgrounds, you’d think they’d be a perfect fit,” the source tells the National Enquirer. “But the fact is, Hugh has a way of handling the spotlight that Sutton lacks.”
While she’s a two-time Tony Awards winner who’s starred in TV shows like Younger and Bunheads, the Deadpool & Wolverine actor’s fame is next level in comparison — with Jackman amassing an estimated $120 million fortune.
“He’s comfortable in the pressure cooker of attention and Sutton has had a hard time adjusting to all that, even though they have been close for years and they’ve sung on Broadway together,” spills the source.

Eleven years after the duo were first photographed together in 2008 — when he visited her backstage at Shrek: The Musical — Jackman, 57, and Sutton, 50, were cast in The Music Man.
By 2024, they’d each separated from their spouses amid rumors of an affair.
In October, the pair made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Hollywood premiere of his latest flick, Song Sung Blue.
They also stepped out together at two big NYC events in December — the Gotham Awards and another splashy premiere of Jackman’s new movie.
“For Sutton, being on a red carpet with Hugh as his girlfriend is a totally different proposition than performing in a theater with him,” shares the source. “She’s incredibly harsh on herself and how she comes across in public.”

According to the source, Foster is constantly comparing herself to Jackman’s ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.
The Aussie actress, 70, “made this fame stuff, like red carpet appearances, look easy, whereas sometimes Sutton looks like she just can’t handle it, no matter how supportive and comforting Hugh is being,” says the source. “She’s with her dream man, but Sutton is not living her dream life. It’s all very stressful!”
