Romy Reiner has been pictured for the first time since the brutal murders of her parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail and published on Sunday, December 28, showed her with two friends at a waterfront home in Malibu on her 28th birthday on Saturday, December 27, looking somber.

Romy usually lives across the street from her mom and dad’s Brentwood, Los Angeles but since finding them stabbed to death there two weeks ago, the outlet reported she has been living at a Southern California beach house, surrounded by her boyfriend Alex Silberberg, brother Jake Reiner, 34, and his partner Maria Gilfillan, as well as her maternal aunts, Suzanne Singer and Martine Weinstock.

“’They all felt it was really important to come together as a family to mark Romy’s birthday, however subdued the celebrations,” a source told the Daily Mail. The photos also showed a barefoot Silberberg, 29, walking Romy’s dog, Billie, along the beach.

Romy and Jake’s brother, Nick Reiner, 32, has been charged with Rob and Michele’s murders.

Jake is described by the Daily Mail report as the glue holding the family together at present. Jake was also seen shopping in Malibu with Gilfillan over the weekend, as per a TMZ report .

The two siblings are also organizing a memorial service for 2026 which will no doubt draw big Hollywood stars who were their father’s friends from the entertainment industry. Billy Crystal and Larry David both visited the crime scene in the hours after the deaths.

According to the BBC, Nick’s high-profile attorney Alan Jackson told reporters on December 17, “We ask that during this process, you allow the system to move forward in the way that it was designed to move forward. Not with a rush to judgement, not with jumping to conclusions, but with restraint and with dignity, and with the respect that this system and this process deserves, and that the family deserves.”
