Mickey Rourke’s financial situation may be dire, but he’s refusing to take on jobs that he believes are beneath him — and according to his manager, the actor is holding out for a bigger payday with bigger stars.
On January 8, the Oscar-nominated actor’s manager, Kimberly Hines, told TMZ that he’s getting offers for work that could pull him out of his difficult situation, but his pride is reportedly getting in the way.
Hines says he’s refusing any job offer below $200,000 per day, per the outlet. Furthermore, she claimed he only wants to work with A-List stars that he believes are on his level and similar to those he’s collaborated with in the past.

Hines implied to the outlet that she doesn’t agree with that move and feels these opportunities — six of which she says came in over the course of just two days — offer him a paycheck and the ability to work with very talented people. As the National Enquirer previously reported, Rourke was recently offered a cameo in an upcoming Scarface spinoff, with the director promising him $1,000.
Rourke, 73, made headlines recently when it came to light that he is being evicted from his Los Angeles home amid years of financial problems.

Rourke previously came forward to speak out against a GoFundMe started by his management to help him out of his financial slump and allow him to keep his home. Days after the GoFundMe was launched, he claimed that he was unaware of the crowdfunding effort and said that he would not have been in favor of it if he had been.
However, Hines has previously stated that claims he was unaware of the GoFundMe are not correct.
