A new video from the Great American State Fair is raising eyebrows after it appeared to show sparse crowds in attendance despite an upbeat message from actor Dean Cain.
“There’s tons of people here,” Cain, 59, said from the stage in a video shared by TMZ on Monday, June 29.
“It’s a huge space and it’s just going to get more and more crowded as the week goes on,” the former Lois & Clark star continued. “Not only do we have a lot of people here, we have people that you want to have like Stacy Garrity who’s going to be the next governor of Pennsylvania.”
However, the footage told a different story when it panned away from the stage. When the camera swung around to show the rest of the area, very few people were mingling on the lawn in the area.

The Great American State Fair, an event to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday, kicked off on June 25, but photos of the event showing scant crowds have gone viral. One image in particular has been making the rounds showing a gentleman taking a leisurely nap on the lawn in the middle of the alleged festivities.
However, PresidentDonald Trump pushed back on the claims that America’s milestone birthday party was a bust.
“Do you think people appreciate what a fantastic job we did in building and operating the Great American State Fair at the National Mall, packed with happy people, and everybody loving it?” the former reality star, 80, wrote via Truth Social on Monday, June 29. “Ask yourself this simple question, ‘DO YOU THINK THAT OBUMA [sic] OR SLEEPY JOE BIDEN COULD HAVE DONE IT?’ THE ANSWER IS NO!”
There are still several days left for people to attend the event in Washington, D.C., however. The Great American State Fair runs through July 10.
