Drew Barrymore recently inked a lucrative new TV deal — and a source alleges fallen host Ellen DeGeneres isn’t exactly celebrating her onetime peer’s achievement.

Not only has The Drew Barrymore Show been renewed until 2028, but the Emmy-winning series is also enjoying its “most-watched season,” according to Deadline.

“Ellen is jealous!” the source confirms to the National Enquirer. “Drew has completely replaced her when it comes to the genre of feel-good daytime television.”

The same year Barrymore’s chatfest debuted in 2020, DeGeneres was accused of fostering a toxic workplace environment in a bombshell BuzzFeed article.

By 2022, The Ellen DeGeneres Show was off the air, with the comedian, 68, later recounting how she’d been “kicked out of show business” for being “mean” during a 2024 Netflix special called For Your Approval.

As Enquirer previously reported, the scandal-plagued star has been eager to make a comeback over the past few months.

However, Barrymore, 51, shows no signs of giving back the daytime crown.

“Two years ago, Drew and the executives of the show took an honest look at things and tried to find places they could improve without her losing her incredibly charming, quirky and unexpected approach to hosting and interviewing,” notes the source. “As a result, she’s made subtle yet substantial changes that really resonate with audiences.”

Her hard work has likely paid off financially as well, adding to the former child star’s estimated $85 million net worth.

“It’s starting to dawn on people, Ellen included, how rich this talk show is making Drew,” says the source. “She’s going to come out of this experience after another 10 or so years with a giant mountain of money!”
