Elisabeth Hasselbeck has officially returned to The View less than two months after she slammed the talk show and one of its hosts – Joy Behar.

“Whoopi, we go way back. It’s a blessing to be near you any time I can. So that is great. You all do a great job, and significantly so, to just have voices as women in the world right now, forever reminded of the gift of our freedom, particularly in light of what’s going on in Iran,” Hasselbeck, 48, said after joining Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Ana Navarro on the Monday, March 2 episode.

Behar, 83, wasn’t present as she typically has Mondays off from filming.

The former Survivor contestant also referenced some of her past on-air clashes and explained that “civil discourse is not dead.”

“We might have differences of opinion, but we love each other and we’re stronger,” Hasselbeck continued, adding that she thought it was “important” for the “young people watching” to see that “we can hold our positions in one hand, and each other’s hand in the other, and be able to just live as Americans with the freedom that we have and speak our hearts and minds.”

In mid-January, the conservative commentator, who served as a cohost on The View from 2003 to 2013, called out Behar after she criticized Carrie Underwood’s decision to perform at President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025.

Hasselbeck appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program and claimed that The View “refused to put anyone there who has a lick of sense on most days,” before targeting Behar specifically. She alleged that Behar’s criticism of Underwood was simply her wanting “to attach her name to Carrie Underwood’s name so that she maintains relevance because she knows the ship is sinking.”

Hasselbeck is one of many temporary placements taking a seat at the table while cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin is away on maternity leave.
