Cameron Diaz Refusing to Do a ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ Follow-Up Film: ‘She’s Done With Hollywood’
Everyone’s in on a follow-up to the beloved 1997 rom-com My Best Friend’s Wedding — except for Cameron Diaz, who sources say has zero interest in reteaming with Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney.
“Cameron is not doing it. She’s done with Hollywood,” says a source close to the actress. “They’ve tried everything — calls, messages, even looping in mutual friends — but Cameron just won’t bite.”
Diaz famously retired from acting in 2018 and only recently made a low-key comeback opposite Jamie Foxx in Back in Action, but sources say once was enough and she’s ready to disappear again.
