Roseanne Barr didn’t hold back when it came to her opinion about Candace Owens and those who support her.
Barr, 73, took aim at the conservative commentator, 37, on social media and accused her of lying to her followers.
“To be clear the issue is not that @RealCandaceO is a lying grifter sociopath. That’s hardly anything new to the world,” the former sitcom star wrote via X on Friday, July 10. “The issue is that so many people listen to a lying grifter sociopath.”
She continued, “That’s something that is much more rare- but every time that happens in human history – it’s ALWAYS A terrible terrible thing.”
While Barr didn’t specify what exactly she was accusing Owens of lying about, some of the commenters believed that she was referring to Owens’ comments about the death of Charlie Kirk.
“AND, everyone is talking about her right now instead of Charlie and his family. It’s infuriating,” one fan wrote.
Plus, one day prior, Barr reposted a lengthy message on X that accused Owens of spreading false claims about Charlie’s murder alongside a mic drop GIF.

Charlie died at the age of 31 after he was shot during the first stop of his American Comeback Tour on September 10, 2025, when he was speaking to a crowd at Utah Valley University. Around 36 hours after the incident occurred, Tyler Robinson turned himself in to police and he was charged with aggravated murder.
Owens has repeatedly questioned the details about her friend’s death, and during a recent appearance on The Shawn Ryan Show, she said, “I feel confident stating that Tyler Robinson did not murder Charlie Kirk.”
She also said that she believes Charlie’s assassination was “an occult ritual” and that “the people around him are into dark, demonic stuff.”
Erika, 37, also pointed out that the unfounded theories had real-world consequences and said that they had led to death threats against her and Turning Point USA staff.
Charlie’s murder is making headlines once again as the preliminary hearing for Robinson, 23, is expected to conclude today. At the time of publication, he has not entered a plea.
