If Iran assassinates PresidentDonald Trump, he has a posthumous plan.
In an interview with the New York Post published Friday, July 10, the commander in chief, 80, said, “I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,” referring to Iran wanting him dead.
“The only thing is, I’ve left instructions if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before,” Trump revealed.
“No, no. Israel came up with nothing. No, no,” he added, referring to reports that Israel recently discovered a plot against him. “I’ve been No. 1 [on Iran’s kill list] for a long time, and it’s the way life is, you know.”

“I hope you’ll miss me,” Trump added.
According to the outlet, “Iran has openly sought the president’s assassination since 2020, when Trump directed the attack that killed Iranian military officer Qasem Soleimani.”
In July 2024, while speaking at a rally of his in Butler, Pennsylvania, his ear was hit by a bullet as a 20-year-old man tried to assassinate him.
“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle,” the FBI said in a statement per NBC News.
In September 2024, Ryan Wesley Routh tried to assassinate the former reality TV star at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was found guilty in September 2025, per the FBI.
Most recently, a man tried to kill Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April. Cole Tomas Allen has been charged with one count of attempting to assassinate the president, transportation of a firearm and ammunition in interstate commerce with intent to commit a felony, and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence, according to the FBI.
