Utah K-9 Helps Agents Seize Nearly 27 Pounds Of Meth From Vehicle
Authorities in Utah say one arrest has been made and an investigation is underway after K-9 Zora sniffed out nearly 27 pounds of methamphetamine during a vehicle search.
The Emery County Sheriff’s Office said agents with the multi-agency Drug Task Force seized 26.8 pounds of methamphetamine during a vehicle search in Green River over the weekend.
“K-9 Deputy Zora from the Grand County Sheriffs Office made a positive indication for controlled substances during her deployment at the vehicle,” Emery County Sheriff Tyson Huntington said in a statement.
A photo shared by the sheriff’s office shows Zora posing proudly in front of the haul of narcotics.
“I am continually thankful for Sheriff Jamison Wiggins of Grand County and his deputies for the help they provide in combating the drug problem in eastern Utah. They truly understand working for the greater good regardless of location,” Huntington said. “ECSO and GCSO working together have seized unprecedented amounts of controlled substances in Green River and within the I-70 corridor in Emery and Grand Counties.”
