Timothée Chalamet is hard at work filming Dune: Part Three in Hungary – but a source exclusively tells the National Enquirer that he’s enjoying new privileges on set and making time to let loose while he’s a world away from his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

Chalamet, 29, has made a name for himself as a talented rising star from Call Me By Your Name to A Complete Unknown, but the third installment of the Dune franchise marks a “new era” for him as it’s his “first big budget movie” where his “status as an A-lister is no longer in question,” the source spills.

Following the worldwide success of Wonka – in which he played the titular character – and Dune: Part Two, he made a “very rich deal” for Dune: Part Three and the flick was “fast tracked to shoot this summer” instead of 2027.

“Those big adjustments were made because Timmy is now officially bankable and less of a risk as a big-budget lead,” adds the source.

Now, Chalamet is “living large” with “a bigger trailer, a bigger and more specialized entourage, and more control than he’s ever had” when shooting a movie.

It’s not very common for someone so young to have so much pull on set, according to the source, who says “he’s making the most of the moment.”

“He’s a king, but he’s trying to be a benevolent one and he has no problem charming and joking with every woman on the set because that just comes naturally to him and, more importantly, it lightens the mood around the scenes he’s shooting,” the source explains.

“He loves switching in and out of his characters at the drop of a hat,” continues the source. “So when he’s not playing this dark, brooding despot, he and his pals on the set are fully joking around with everybody and having a great old time while they’re doing it.”

As for his relationship with Jenner, 27, the source says it’s “annoying” for him to be “so far from” her and his home, but he’s making the best of it.

“Timmy is working 18 hour days to get this thing in the can, but he’s also partying hard with his fellow young cast and crew members whenever they have even a six hour stretch of free time,” the source notes. “He’s a ‘work hard, play hard’ guy through and through, and that goes double when he’s on the other side of the world from Kylie Jenner!”
