Taco Bell is taking its crispy chicken lineup to the next level this summer, unveiling a new range of Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos set to hit menus nationwide starting June 17.

The launch brings the brands popular Crispy Chicken Strips to some of its most iconic formats, expanding what has become a breakout success in Taco Bells ongoing crispy chicken offerings.

“Crispy chicken is having a moment, but our fans made it a movement,” said Taylor Montgomery, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell. “So, we decided to bring our sell-out Nuggets recipe to the formats that defined our brand because true innovation means elevating the icons, not replacing them. Were not like every other chicken spot out there, were doing crispy chicken the only way we know how: full of flavor and unmistakably Taco Bell.”

Following the sell-out popularity of its Crispy Chicken Nuggets, Taco Bell is now folding its tortilla chip-coated Crispy Chicken Strips into Tacos and Burritos layered with bold sauces and textures. Each all-white meat chicken strip is marinated in a zesty jalapeño buttermilk flavor and breaded with crispy tortilla chips and breadcrumbs.

The new menu additions include a Crispy Chicken Taco priced at $2.79, featuring one strip with purple cabbage, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, and a choice of the new Spicy Ranchero Sauce or Avocado Ranch Sauce. The Crispy Chicken Burrito ($5.49) packs two strips into a hearty wrap with the same fresh ingredients and choice of sauce. The Crispy Chicken Strips will also be available a la carte, two for $3.99.

The new Spicy Ranchero Sauce offers a creamy blend of Anaheim and jalapeño chiles, tomatoes, garlic, and onion, while the returning Avocado Ranch Sauce delivers a zesty, avocado-infused twist on the classic ranch. Fans can add a side of either sauce for $.60 or include it in any menu item for $.30.

“The craving for crispy chicken is growing every single day and our fans told us loud and clear: give us more. We listened, continued to innovate and have now delivered,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bells Global Chief Food Innovation Officer. “From our viral Crispy Chicken Nuggets to now with Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos, were not just jumping on a trend – were redesigning it completely with the signature flavor of Taco Bell. Reinventing what crispy chicken can be is a challenge weve fully embraced and executed, and these menu additions are just the beginning.”

To promote the new crispy chicken lineup, Taco Bell tapped a range of celebrity cameos from figures including Kate Flannery, GaTa, and Christian Petroni, capturing the wide cultural appeal of its newest creations.

“The obsession with perfecting the crispy chicken recipe — the sauce, the coating, the flavor — runs deep. So deep, Taco Bell couldnt pick just one person to help launch it,” the company said in a statement.

Looking ahead, Taco Bell teased more crispy chicken innovations on the horizon. While tacos, burritos, and strips are rolling out this month, the brand is planning additional flavor mashups and product extensions, with crispy chicken slated to become a permanent menu item in 2026.
