Sydney Sweeney Humiliated Scooter Braun By ‘Grinding’ On Glen Powell at Her Birthday Bash (Exclusive)
Sydney Sweeney cozied up to her old pal and costar Glen Powell at her recent 28th birthday party in L.A. — while her new boyfriend Scooter Braun looked on in agony, a source tells the National Enquirer.
“It looked like she was with Glen and not Scooter — she was grinding on Glen on the dance floor,” says the source.
The music manager, 44, “was essentially crying in the corner. It was pure humiliation,” continues the source, adding that Sweeney acts like “an obsessed teenager about Glen.”
The Euphoria actress shared a photo of herself with her arm around Powell at the space-themed birthday Instagram on Monday, September 29.
The next day, Sweeney and Braun were spotted at Universal Studios together alongside her parents.
In August, Star broke the news that Braun and Sweeney were dating, after they were spotted hanging out in Italy amid Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in June.
This wouldn’t be the first time she’s gotten extra close to the Top Gun: Maverick star, 36.
Romance rumors ran rampant when the pair were filming Anyone But You, and Powell later admitted that it was Sweeney’s idea to play up their flirtation to “sell” the rom-com.
“Sydney and I have a ton of fun together and we have a ton of chemistry,” the actor told the New York Times. “Sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully.”
They faked it so well that Powell’s then-fiancée broke up with him. “I don’t know if there was a relationship there or not, but then they came out to say it was all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship,” Gigi Paris said on the Too Much podcast in June.
“I just wanted respect, especially if it’s going to be public,” the model added. “Like, just don’t make a fool out of someone you’ve been with for over three years, talking about forever with. Just have some decency.”
Sweeney also ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino a little over a year after the movie came out. Still, both stars — and even Powell’s mom, Cyndy — have insisted that they are still just good friends.
