For richer or poorer!
Simon Cowell is ready to dig deep into his $600 million fortune to ensure that fiancée Lauren Silverman gets the wedding of her dreams, a source tells National Enquirer.
“If it were up to Simon, this would not be a big ceremony,” admits the source. “He doesn’t particularly want to do this, but he knows Lauren really wants to and he’s at a point where he feels like he ought to just do it and make her happy.”
The bride-to-be, 48, has already changed her last name to Cowell on Instagram and in an episode of Netflix’s new docuseries Simon Cowell: The Next Act, she can be seen signing paperwork to legally change her surname, too.

“Simon is very happy about that. He’s totally committed to [Lauren] and thinks it’s great she has his name,” the source says of the couple, who got engaged back in 2022 and share 11-year-old son Eric. “It’s the whole wedding fuss he doesn’t want to deal with.”
“Most guys with that attitude would just be happy and let the bride plan it but not Simon,” the source declares. “He’s already told her he will have 100% control, to the point [that some of the ‘I Do’ details] will even be a surprise to her.”

Although the couple has yet to send out save-the-dates, “[Simon’s] saying it will be a small guest list when it does happen,” spills the source.
That being said, “it’s going to be very tough to limit it since he’s got so many friends and industry connections,” the source notes. “No one will be shocked if this turns into the blingiest wedding of the year.”
