R. Kelly Begs for Presidential Pardon Amid Concerns He’s Being Targeted in Prison

R. Kelly is making a desperate plea to President Donald Trump to spring him from his cage after claiming that he’s been targeted for death by prison officials, sources tell the National ENQUIRER.

The disgraced R&B star’s lawyer is publicly claiming that the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer was poisoned with a near-fatal dose of medication administered by prison authorities at the North Carolina lockup where he’s serving a 30-year sentence.

According to a filing obtained by the Courthouse News Service, the rapper’s emergency petition to be freed and instead placed in home detention was unsuccessful. Kelly’s motion, also obtained by Courthouse News, included an allegation said to be from fellow inmate Mikeal Glenn Stine — the reputed leader of the prison’s chapter of the Aryan Brotherhood white supremacist gang — stating that prison officials tried to bribe him to kill Kelly.

The filing alleges that Stine — who has terminal cancer — said authorities vowed to let him escape if he carried out the hit, but that he decided to alert Kelly instead.

Kelly’s lawyer also accused jailers at the Federal Correctional Institution in Butner, N.C., of throwing the 58-year-old recording artist — full name Robert Sylvester Kelly — into solitary confinement as retribution for filing the emergency motion.

Lawyer Beau B. Brindley says the motive for such punishment against his client was covering up a scheme masterminded by the U.S. Attorney’s Office to steal letters from the singer’s cell, as well as emails — both of which he claims are protected by attorney-client privilege.

TMZ reports that federal prosecutors branded Kelly’s claims a “fanciful conspiracy” in a swiftly filed response, calling his behavior that of “an abuser and a master manipulator.”

A rep for Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on Kelly’s allegations, explaining that the agency does not discuss the conditions of confinement for any incarcerated individual or any pending litigation.

As the ENQUIRER previously reported, the fallen star was convicted in September 2021 of sexually exploiting children, overseeing forced labor, racketeering, child porn possession and sex trafficking, among other charges.

Now, Brindley says that only one man in America can save his client’s life — Trump.

“It is now undeniable,” he declared of the supposed plot. “And, it is because of this growing and imminent threat that we continue to seek the intervention of President Trump.

“He may be the only power in this country that can save a life and end this corruption before it’s too late!”
