Possible Witness Sought As Search Continues For Man Missing In Grand Canyon National Park

National Park Service rangers searching for a missing man at Grand Canyon National Park are seeking the public’s help identifying a possible witness who turned in the missing man’s backpack.

Park officials were notified on April 28 that 26-year-old Sandarsh Krishna was missing, and was last known to be in Grand Canyon National Park. His possible last known location was along the Rim Trail along Hermit Road between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point between 4 p.m. on April 27 and 12 a.m. on April 28.

There is no vehicle associated with Krishna, and it is believed he may have used a taxi or rideshare service to get to the park.

Krishna is described as standing approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing “athletic” clothing.

On May 1, park officials released an image of another parkgoer who turned in a black backpack believed to be associated with Krishna at the Bright Angel Lodge at around 7 a.m. on April 28, the day Krishna was later reported missing.

Park officials said the individual who turned in the backpack is not considered a suspect, but may have additional information relevant to the investigation.
