Pedro Pascal’s Brooklyn Doppelganger George Gountas Wins Big in New York City Look-Alike Contest

A Pedro Pascal doppelgänger from Brooklyn has become an internet sensation after winning a look-alike contest in New York City, and now the dead ringer has a message for the real Pedro — let’s meet up!

George Gountas’ journey from obscurity into the limelight began two years ago when the Mandalorian hunk, 50, famously quipped that New York doesn’t have any good Mexican food.

That dig inspired Manhattan chef Annisha Garcia, who co-owns the Mexican eatery Son Del North, to organize a Pedro look-alike contest.

Gountas, 42 — a lighting tech on The Daily Show — says a pal encouraged him to take a shot at the first-place prize of $50 and a year’s supply of free burritos. “I showed it to my wife [Jenny] and she’s like, ‘Yeah, you’re going to do this.’ ”

Gountas, who competed as Pedro No. 5, won the contest in part thanks to a key prop — a pair of black-rimmed glasses.

But that was only the beginning of his newfound fame, which hit the stratosphere after his colleague, Daily Show host Jon Stewart, interviewed him about his uncanny resemblance to the Chilean-born actor.

“Women are … reacting, quite frankly, animalistically, and some of the men [are], too,” joked Stewart.

Now, Gountas has a message for the real Pedro.

“Hey Pedro, this is Pedro #5 from New York, it would be a great, great gift if you could meet my wife, Jenny, it would mean the world to her, we need to make this happen.”

“I don’t see how Pedro #1 can turn down Pedro #5!” he quipped.
