Last year, the 28-year-old singer-songwriter raised concerns over bonuses paid out by executors of the late King of Pop’s estate to third-party law firms — money that a Los Angeles judge recently ruled will have to be returned, according to new court documents obtained by TMZ.
“Paris is a very uncompromising individual. When she sees something out of order, like with the estate, she’s not afraid to stand up,” says a source. “Her dad raised her to be strong and that is coming in handy in a big way because she’s been like steel ever since she started this battle.”
Paris was the one to file suit against the estate’s executors but as the National Enquirer previously reported, brothers Prince, 29, and Bigi Jackson, 24, have since joined her petition.

They’re not always a united front.
Prince and Bigi have supported the box office record-setting biopic, Michael, whereas Paris has publicly refuted claims of her involvement in the film.
“I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn’t sit right with me and when they didn’t address it i moved on with my life,” she wrote on her Instagram Story in September.
“The movie about her dad and her disagreement with her brothers over it threw a wrench in things to some extent, but she refused to let that completely derail her,” says the source. “She worked hard to move past that with them and thankfully they have, at least to some extent.”
At the end of the day, “family is important to her and she does not want hers destroyed,” adds the source. “She’s doing all she can to heal them as a unit. She wants them all on the same side.”
