Nicole Kidman is leaning on a dear old friend in the wake of her split from Keith Urban after nearly 20 years of marriage, a source tells the National Enquirer.
Russell Crowe, 61, “has been a total rock” as the Babygirl star, 58, “picks up the pieces and rebuilds her life,” says the source.
“He has a tough exterior but he’s a real softie underneath,” adds the source. “Ever since Nicole told him what was going on, he’s been on the phone to her nearly every day just to check in and lift her spirits.”

Not only have the fellow Aussies been close for years, notes the source, but “Russell has been through his own heartbreaking divorce” from his wife of 15 years, Danielle Spencer, in 2018. “So he can empathize with Nicole in a way that not everyone in her world can.”
The Oscar winners have even met up for coffee, says the source, insisting that there’s nothing romantic between the Boy Erased costars. “They’re strictly friends. He’s just very concerned about her because he knows her marriage was everything to her.”
“Nicole says he’s got such good advice,” continues the source. “She really values having a man’s perspective on things. He’s helped to steady her and she’s so grateful.”
