A Louisiana mother is behind bars, her second arrest in five months, connected to allegations of physically hurting her own children.
Law&Crime reported on Monday, July 13, that Johnnikkia Robinson, 35, is now facing two separate child cruelty charges tied to incidents in April and July.
As per the Court documents obtained by the outlet, Robinson’s was first arrested on April 1, after a witness saw her drunkenly headbutt her daughter on the streets.
Robinson was jailed for several weeks after her first arrest in April on charges of cruelty to juveniles and disturbing the peace by drunkenness. She was released on May 21 on a $5,500 bond, according to Unfilteredbykiran.
The witness told police Robinson “is always walking around the neighborhood asking for food” with her children, according to the affidavit obtained by the outlet. When officers arrived, they found Robinson and her two children “hiding under a home.”

She allegedly admitted to drinking a half pint of vodka. When officers asked her why she headbutted her daughter, Robinson “stated that her headbutting her child is motherly love”.
Robinson’s daughter reportedly had a “small knot on her forehead” and told officers it hurt. Her boyfriend told police Robinson struck his daughter’s head and his son’s torso in late June.
He also alleged Robinson threatened him with a kitchen knife during a verbal confrontation — a claim she has denied.
On July 6, Robinson was arrested again, this time on charges of child cruelty, domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse with child endangerment and domestic abuse aggravated assault. Ages for the children involved were not disclosed in the report.
She is currently being held without bond, as per Law&Crime.
