Megyn Kelly thinks former President Bill Clinton‘s headwear is sending a message.

On the Tuesday, July 21, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the host, 55, dissected paparazzi footage of Bill and Hillary Clinton vacationing in Italy, zeroing in on the former president’s red baseball cap, embroidered with the number 42 on the side.

Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton [are] still together after all these years,” Kelly said. “They jetted off to Europe for a summer vacation, and I just want to show you the tape because they just look like the perfect lovebirds. You can see that they’re keeping the flame alive.”

“There she is, dressed like the hamburglar, meandering the streets of Italy, I think. And where’s Bill? I’m sure he’s here somewhere,” the journalist continued. “Oh, okay – his hat looks MAGA adjacent, his shirt looks like it needs another button up top, and if you can see the pants, not sure why they’re so short, but he’s got the ankles, the naked ankle thing going that some of the hipster young guys do these days.”

Kelly, 55, didn’t stop at the fashion critique. She also pointed out the physical distance between Bill, 79, and Hillary, 78, in the footage. “The interesting thing is there is about 20 feet between the two of them… clearly still want nothing to do with one another,” she said. “It’s very interesting. I don’t know what goes on in that weird marriage, but I love watching it from afar.”

The conversation took a political turn when Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook, Kelly’s guests and cohosts of the Ruthless podcast, floated the idea that Clinton secretly admires certain aspects of President Donald Trump. Kelly ran with the suggestion.

“That’s a fascinating theory,” she said. “I believe it because Trump is a moderate. Trump is not at all the crazy figure the media portrays him to be. And Clinton was never…he probably hates the [Democratic Socialists] he probably hated the open border. He was a more moderate Dem.”
