Nick Reiner is asking a court to force the distribution of money he says he’s owed from a family trust established by his late parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, as he awaits trial for murdering them.

Nick, 32, filed a petition Monday June 8, demanding payment from a trust he says he was due when he turned 30. According to TMZ, court documents Nick has told the trustee “time is of the essence.”

Nick claims he attempted to retain high-profile attorney Alan Jackson to help battle the murder case. According to the petition the trustee refused to pay Jackson which meant he departed working the case.

Reiner insisted he needed Jackson to avoid “further jeopardizing my defense in the criminal matter.”

Per TMZ, ourt documents state the trust was established in 1992 for the benefit of Nick and his siblings, Jake and Romy. Nick now claims he has no other means to pay legal fees or support himself while incarcerated.
