Motorists in Oregon encountered an unusual “traffic hazard” on Wednesday after a large quantity of fish was found strewn across a road, officials said.
The Coos County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday alerted drivers to a “traffic hazard” on Seven Devils Road near Walker Lane in Bandon after Deputy S. Converse responded to a report of a “fish spill” in the area.
A photo shared by the sheriff’s office shows the remains of perhaps dozens or more fish crushed and smeared along the roadway.
The sheriff’s office said Converse “cleared the road to the best of his ability” but that the road remained “extremely slick.”
“Please drive carefully and secure your load when transporting items,” the sheriff’s office said.
