Melania Trump Marks One Year as First Lady During Second Term, Calls Role a ‘Profound Responsibility’

Melania Trump is reflecting on her time as First Lady thus far.

On Tuesday, January 20, the former model, 55, took to X to share a message about her role in the White House, marking the first anniversary of her husband, President Donald Trump, taking office for his second term in 2025.

“A year ago today, I was entrusted to serve our country once again,” Melania wrote. “Being First Lady is not just a privilege; it is a profound responsibility.”

“As we continue on this journey together, we must remember that hope is a powerful force, and that our vision to create a brighter future for all is within reach,” she added. “Thank you.”

Also in her post, Melania — who shares son Barron, 19, with the commander-in-chief, 79 — included a black-and-white video with her Inauguration Day schedule from last year.

According to the schedule, Melania’s day began at 8:40 am, when she departed Blair House for St. John’s Church, and lasted until 12:15 am, when she finished the evening at the Starlight Ball.

Melania previously served as First Lady from 2017 to 2021 during the billionaire’s first term in office.

As the National Enquirer previously reported, Melania is releasing a self-titled documentary produced by Amazon MGM Studios later this month, which “chronicles the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration,” according to Amazon News.

The film will hit select theaters on Friday, January 30, with the premiere taking place on January 29 at the newly-named Trump Kennedy Center.
