Man Accused Of Misusing 911 To Report Zombies, Ghosts, UFO At His Home
A West Virginia man is facing charges for allegedly misusing 911 to report a UFO, ghosts and zombies at his home, authorities said.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said that on May 17, deputies responded to a residence on Chick Drive in the Kerens area of Randolph County regarding “repeated” 911 calls from Clinton Wayne Nelan.
According to the sheriff’s office, Nelan called 911 for a variety of complaints including “zombies, ghosts, and a UFO at his residence.” Nelan allegedly made “several false claims” to the deputies, including that he was being “harassed by numerous individuals” and that he was a police officer from Louisiana.
According to investigators, Nelan “knowingly misused” the 911 system. He was arrested and booked into the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on charges of misuse of a local emergency telephone system and impersonating a law enforcement officer.
