New details regarding Barron Trump’s relationship with the London woman whose life he allegedly saved have emerged.
As previously reported, President Donald Trump’s 19-year-old son reportedly called 999 — the emergency telephone number in the U.K. — last year after seeing the unnamed woman, 22, being allegedly abused on a FaceTime call by Matvei Rumiantsev, 22, who is on trial facing rape and assault charges.
As the trial continued in a U.K. court on Thursday, January 22, Rumiantsev claimed Barron placed multiple FaceTime calls to the woman (whom Rumiantsev was dating) that night, the Daily Beast reported.
The 999 call was then placed after 2 a.m. on January 18, 2025, which was two days before the 79-year-old president’s inauguration. Around the same time, Barron was reportedly en route to Washington, D.C.

Rumiantsev told the court he answered the call from Barron and that his girlfriend was allegedly trying to punch him in a drunken rage, per Daily Beast.
Rumiantsev admitted to the court that he was jealous of her apparent relationship with Barron, whom she would text. Rumiantsev claimed that she asked him to take a picture of her text conversation with the NYU student because “the kind of chat they had” did not allow screenshots.
The Daily Beast also reported that jurors were shown a message Rumiantsev sent to the woman, which can be translated to: “You started calling him sweetheart, I felt so unwell.” When Rumiantsev was asked who “him” referred to, he said Barron.
According to the Daily Beast, Barron allegedly said in a May 2 email that the phone call on January 18, 2025, was answered by “a shirtless man with darkish hair” before he was able to see the woman crying.

In the email, he described the woman as someone “who I am very close with.”
It is unclear how the president’s son knows the unnamed woman, and the nature of their relationship is also uncertain; however, the Daily Mail reported that Barron has said he met her via “social media.”
Giving evidence in court earlier this week, according to the Mail, the woman said Barron “helped save my life.”
Rumiantsev has been charged with rape, assault, actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice, according to the Mail.
The Metro reports that he’s denied the allegations and that the trial is ongoing.
