President Donald Trump’s 19-year-old son, Barron Trump, reportedly called 999 — the emergency telephone number in the U.K. — last year after seeing a woman being allegedly abused on a FaceTime call.
The British newspaper Metro reported on Wednesday, January 21, that the college student saw a man by the name of Matvei Rumiantsev, 22, allegedly hitting a woman said to be his ex-girlfriend because he was jealous of her friendship with Barron.
It is unclear how the 79-year-old president’s son knows the unnamed woman, and the nature of their relationship is also unknown; however, the Daily Mail reported that Barron has said he met her via “social media.”

According to the Mail, prosecutors said Barron tried to call her earlier that evening, and when he received a call back on FaceTime, he allegedly saw her being beaten.
Barron also heard the words, “You are not worth anything,” London’s Snaresbrook Crown Court was told, per the Mail.
When Barron apparently figured out how to contact authorities in the U.K., he dialed 999 to report the alleged incident.
“I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up,” he allegedly told operators, according to the call — placed on January 18, 2025, after 2 a.m. and played back in Snaresbrook Crown Court (via Metro).
He reportedly gave 999 operators the woman’s address and said, “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”

After authorities arrived at the scene, the woman was reportedly asked by them to call Barron back, and when the NYU student picked up, he explained to officers that he could see her crying and allegedly in danger.
Giving evidence in court, according to the Daily Mail, the woman said Barron “helped save my life. That call a sign from God.”
