President Donald Trump’s Son Barron Trump Reportedly ‘Focused’ on Trying to Get Rid of His Accent

Barron Trump, the 19-year-old son of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, is setting himself up for success.

The college student is apparently taking elocution lessons — which focus on pronunciation — to help tone down his Slovenian-influenced accent, sources told celebrity journalist Rob Shuter.

In the Wednesday, January 7, edition of Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, a source close to the family said that the teenager is “very focused on how he presents himself,” adding that the 79-year-old president’s son wants to “be confident when he speaks.”

Barron, who is currently a sophomore at New York University, grew up sounding a lot like his mother, 55, who was born in Slovenia.

When Barron was 4, he appeared via a prerecorded clip on Larry King Live, where his parents were asked by host Larry King, “He has an accent?”

“He does,” Melania replied, pointing out that Barron speaks three languages. “He spend most of the time with me, so…”

When the late King asked Trump what he thought of Barron’s accent, the Apprentice alum replied, “I think it’s great. Anything he does is OK with me.”

A family friend told Shuter, “Barron was raised primarily by his mother and his grandparents. Even as he grows older, Melania watches over him closely. She wants him to have a normal life — free from cameras and public pressure — while still giving him the tools he needs to succeed.”

Another insider said that Barron — who transferred to NYU’s Washington campus near the White House for his second year at school — “stays away from the spotlight whenever possible.”

“He’s very aware of his privacy,” the insider added, “and his mother makes sure it stays that way.”
