Kim Kardashian ‘Feeling Pressure’ to Scale Back Flights on $150 Million Jet Amid Backlash (Exclusive)
Kim Kardashian is being called out over her travel habits.
The billionaire’s private jet was recently tracked making a nine-minute flight between Los Angeles and Van Nuys, California, according to Reddit’s r/CelebrityJet forum, with the short trip wasting approximately $477 worth of gas.
Commenters on the subreddit deemed the quick jaunt “wild,” “unnecessary” and “insane.”
“Kim and the rest of the Kardashians use their jets the way most people would use a car service,” a source exclusively tells the National Enquirer. “It’s completely excessive, but they justify it by saying they don’t have the time in their schedule to sit in L.A.’s notorious traffic.”
Kim Air — the $150 million plane the All’s Fair actress owns — was customized to transport 45-year-old Kardashian in style, boasting cashmere details and extra bathrooms, Page Six reports.
“It’s glamorous, but Kim and her siblings are feeling pressure to scale back on the flights,” says Enquirer’s source. “On top of the backlash — which has been growing — the costs are adding up. Even with their kind of money, momager Kris Jenner has been reading them all the riot act about their spending.”
The American Horror Story alum has been logging extra miles lately, thanks to her romance with F1 racer Lewis Hamilton.
As Enquirer previously reported, the couple spent the early days of their relationship meeting up in England and France before her three youngest kids, sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 6, and daughter Chicago, 8, joined them for a Spring Break trip to Japan in March.
