Kelly Osbourne Calls Losing Dad Ozzy Osbourne ‘The Hardest Thing,’ Says She’s ‘Not Doing So Great’
Kelly Osbourne is opening up about her state of mind nearly six months after her dad, Ozzy Osbourne, died.
On Sunday, February 1, the TV personality, 41, attended the 68th Annual Grammy Awards — along with her fiancé, Sid Wilson, mother Sharon, and brother Jack — and told E! on the red carpet that she was “getting through” her tragic loss, but admitted it isn’t easy.
“People usually say, ‘I’m great.’ [But] I’m not doing so great,” the former Fashion Police host confessed. “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through in my life.”
“We’re doing everything we can to try and just live in his legacy and be happy,” she said of her family.
Singer Post Malone, Guns N’ Roses guitarists Slash and Duff McKagan, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith performed a tribute to the late Black Sabbath frontman — who passed away on July 22 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease — at the annual award show.
During the poignant performance, Kelly, Sharon and Jack were spotted fighting back tears.
“It means more than I can express into words,” Kelly told E! ahead of the performance. “To see his peers and this community cherish him in such a way, and in a way that he deserves. It’ll be very emotional.”
Kelly also noted she was supporting her mom, Sharon, 73 that evening.
“It’s just as much about her as well,” Kelly told the outlet. “He wouldn’t have been him without her,” she added of Ozzy, “and vice versa.”
In December, a source told the National Enquirer that people in Kelly’s “inner circle are very worried about her.”
“She is not handling the loss of Ozzy well at all,” the source claimed. “She was always such a daddy’s girl, and she is spiraling without him.
