‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Mysteriously Canceled at the Last Minute With No Explanation

Taping of a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! was canceled at the last minute on Thursday, November 6, per LateNighter.

On the show — which despite its name, tapes in front of an L.A. audience at 4:30 p.m. — host Jimmy Kimmel, 57, was set to welcome guest stars Joe Keery, David Duchovny and Madison Beer.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally set to air tonight to a later date,” the “Reckless” singer wrote in an Instagram Story on November 6.

LateNighter reported that the postponement was due to a “personal matter” but neither ABC nor the show offered any explanation.

Audience seats for the Monday, November 10 episode are available on 1iota, which handles ticketing for the show.

As the National Enquirer previously reported, the late night show was suspended on Wednesday, September 17 following Kimmel’s controversial comments about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“The MAGA Gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said during the Monday, September 15 episode. “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”

The ABC show returned to the air on September 23. In his emotional monologue, the host noted that he “didn’t think there was anything funny” about Kirk’s death and pointed out that he had called the assassination “horrible and monstrous” on Instagram on September 10, and offered condolences to the family.

Kimmel went on to thank his fans and supporters, as well as those who “don’t support my show and what I believe, but support my right to share those beliefs.”
