Disappointing ratings have Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings afraid to ask for a pay raise, according to a source.

“He knows he’s on shaky ground and bosses already think Ken’s lucky to be earning the paycheck he gets,” the source spills to the National Enquirer, noting his salary is estimated to be $4 million per year. “Ken won’t dare ask for more money.”

Though his game show remains No. 1 for now, Wheel of Fortune is seemingly inching closer in the numbers, with less than 300,000 viewers separating the two syndicated series this November.

It comes on the heels of disastrous Celebrity Jeopardy! ratings earlier in 2025 — and amid rumors that Jimmy Kimmel wants to replace Jennings as host of the quiz series and its spinoffs.

Still, former record-setting Jeopardy! champion Jennings, 51, can’t help but look at what some of his TV peers earn and “feel envious,” dishes the source.

While Ryan Seacrest’s Wheel of Fortune contract reportedly scores him $28 million per season, Drew Carey is believed to rake in $12.5 million with his The Price is Right gig.

Jennings — who began helming Jeopardy! in 2021, following the death of longtime host Alex Trebek — “sees the inequity as an insult, but he’s powerless to do anything about it,” the source tells the Enquirer. “As much as it bothers him, Ken’s going to keep his head down, cash the paycheck and wait for better times. He needs to make himself popular with people again, then he’ll pounce on bosses.”
