‘Naked’ Cake
On her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, the duchess and her pal Daniel Martin make a “naked” cake that looks like a classic Victoria sponge cake — just like the one Kate bakes for her kids’ birthdays every year, which she talked about with Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry in 2019.
Party Planning
Meghan, 44, shows viewers (and guest Mindy Kaling) how easy it is to throw a kids’ party. She even makes a balloon arch with a few supplies, which you might have once picked up from Party Pieces, where Kate once worked. Her mom, Carole Middleton, founded the company in the 1980s!
It’s A Jame
“It’s pretty clear by now that jam is my jam,” Meghan said in a Feb. 18, 2025, Instagram video. A week later, Kate, 44, promised students in Wales she would send them her recipe for preserves — probably the one she used when she gifted jars to the royal family for Christmas back in 2011.
Queen Bees
Kate has been keeping bees at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England, since at least 2021, when she brought a jar of honey for kids to try at a London event. On her show, Meghan delights in caring for the hives on her Montecito, Calif., property — but admits she wasn’t even a big fan of honey before!
Flower Girls
On her show, Meghan harvests homegrown fruits and veggies and sprinkles flowers on just about everything. Kate, who reportedly followed the Victorian-era “language of flowers” for her wedding, has long been an avid gardener. She even designed a play area at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019.
